Alcohol Ink Agates

Create the look with intricately colored agates on paper with Ranger Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Inks.
Supplies
  • Ranger 15 x 18 Non-stick Craft Sheet
  • Ranger Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Inks (various colors)
  • Ranger Tim Holtz Metallic Mixatives
  • Ranger Tim Holtz Blending solution
  • Ranger Tim Holtz Ink Applicator Tool
  • Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink
  • Ranger White Glossy Cardstock
  • Stamps – your choice
  • Ribbon
  • Adhesive
  • Manila Tag
Steps for Alcohol Ink Agates
  1. Place glossy cardstock on to Non-Stick Craft Sheet
  2. Apply 2 – 4 colors of Adirondack Alcohol Ink to felt piece attached to the Ink Applicator Tool. Ink tool by placing the nib of the bottle into the felt and give it a light 2 second squeeze
  3. Shake Metallic Mixative and add a Small Drop to inked felt.
  4. Pounce inked tool on to glossy cardstock
  5. Repeat until entire background is covered with color – you may need to add more ink to Ink Applicator Tool
  6. Apply Adirondack Blending solution to same ink tool and stamp over inked background to blend color.
  7. Lightly shake Blending Solution on background to create “dots”
  8. Stamp images with Archival Ink on Glossy Cardstock
  9. Allow stamped images to dry
  10. Adhere glossy cardstock to tag
